Acupuncture

Acupuncture is Traditional Chinese Medicine modality that entails stimulating certain points on the body, most often with a needle penetrating the skin, to alleviate pain or to help treat various health conditions. Conditions it is used for include different kinds of pain, blood pressure problems, digestive disorders, insomnia, fertility issues, migraines, headaches, menstrual imbalances, asthma, whooping cough and others.

Cupping

Cupping is Traditional Chinese Medicine technique that uses glass, plastic or silicone cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin to disperse and break up mascular-fascial adhesions by drawing congested blood, and lymph to the surface.

In dry cupping, the therapist will simply place the suction cups on the skin. In wet cupping, the practitioner will make a small incision on the skin and then apply the suction cup to draw out small amounts of blood. Cupping is often recommended for back pain, muscle soreness & tightness, knee pain, headaches, migraines, cough, neck tension .

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, hair-like needles into the face and body. This process increases blood flow to the face, helps to shed dead skin cells, and can boost collagen production. It also reduces tension in the muscles of the forehead and jaw.

The needles stimulate the flow of energy to the face and body, and can also help with headaches, digestion, anxiety, stress reduction, as well as an improve mood. When it comes to skin care, facial acupuncture can also be used to treat many other dermatological concerns such as dry skin, acne, scarring, rosacea, dull complexion, and eczema.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion involves burning moxa, a cone or stick made of ground mugwort leaves, on or near your body’s meridians and acupuncture points. The resulting heat helps stimulate these points and improves the blood circulation & flow of energy in your body. It can help with a range of health issues, from chronic pain to digestive troubles.

Guasha

Gua sha is a therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve blood circulation. Your skin is scraped with short or long strokes to stimulate micro-circulation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow.

Gua sha is intended to address stagnant blood, lymph & energy, responsible for inflammation. Rubbing the skin’s surface is thought to help break up this energy, reduce inflammation, and promote healing..
